Have You Visited the New Hard Rock Café Theme Park at Myrtle Beach?
It does not take too much to figure out the theme of this latest addition to the amusement parks in Myrtle Beach. With the city attracting tourist what better way to capitalize on the tourist inflow than have theme park that is one of its kind. The theme behind the Hard Rock Park as one would have already guessed is ‘rock n roll’. The park was opened on the 15th of April 2008 and it occupies about 55 acres of a property that is 140 acres. It lies between the Inter-coastal Waterway in Fantasy Harbour and Highway 501. The name for the park has been licensed to the Hard Rock Park Myrtle Beach Operations by the owners if the Hard Rock Café Brand, Hard Rock International. The park will have its grand opening on the 2nd of June 2008 and the main feature will be a concert by the Eagles.
In keeping with the theme of the Hard Rock Park, the area is divided into six zones each dedicated to legends of a particular genre, lifestyles and culture.
There is an area for shopping and public spaces which is called All Access Entry Plaza. Rock and Roll Heaven is based on the emotions and feelings behind that genre of music. It also depicts the legends and the influences. A tribute to the English style of Rock and Roll is British Invasion. Based on glam, disco and 70’s punk is Lost in the 70’s. Celebrating the birth of rock is Born in the USA and last of all a tribute to the country music of America is Cool Country.
